Tool training, Service Project Learning and mini spike project announced

"woo" long day. Things between my team seemed to be really good today, getting a little more hopeful.

This mornign we had tool training which was hands on and very informative. I got to put up a tent for the first time, used a saw, played with ladders, hammered nails and used a drill.

In service project learning we talked about our spikes (projects done off campus 4-8 weeks long), how to fill out the paperwork involved, about reflections and then got told that we are going on a mini 3 day spike next week! we'll be going to a recreational park and work on trails, harvesting and more. It's an hour away from campus so we'll be sleeping on site in a cabin, working 9am-4pm which isn't bad at all and will give us plenty of down time to maybe have campfires and bond. bad news? it's going to snow the first 2 days out there!

tonight at dinner (burritos), we actually stuck around and laughed, told stories and had a great time, even my team leader! Hard bailed 10 eggs and made egg salad for my team tomorrow because I'm so nice =]
