Hey guys!
I've made this blogspot to help keep in touch, document and inform everyone on what I am up to while I serve in AmeriCorps NCCC winter 2012. I'll be stationed in the North Central Region of the U.S. I will be doing nation community service such has; service projects in the areas of disaster relief, energy conservation, urban and rural development, infrastructure improvement and the environment. Along with mentoring students, constructing and rehabilitateing low-income housing, responding to natural disasters, cleaning up streams, help communities develop emergency plans, and address countless other local needs, overall volunteering the next 10 months.. I Plan to post Pictures, locations and projects as the yea progresses.
WHERE?
Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin. (Maybe called into other regions during major disasters)
It is now 40 days until ship out (February 8th 2012) and I could not be anymore excited. Today I have pretty much finished shopping for the things I will need to pack.
Coming from one of the warmest states and being stationed into some of the coldest I feel I need to buy more clothing and supplies then some of my other team mates but feeling less stressed and more prepared.
